FAQ

  • What is your shop minimum?

  • What is your rescheduling policy?

To reschedule an appointment, we require at least 48 hours' notice. Failure to provide sufficient notice will result in the forfeiture of your deposit. With proper notice, you may reschedule up to three times; after that, a new deposit will be required to secure your appointment.

  • Will you copy another artist's custom design?

We do not copy other artist's custom designs, as it was created uniquely for their client, and copying it would be unethical. As a custom shop, we take pride in crafting original artwork tailored specifically to each client, ensuring a truly unique piece. However, we’d be happy to design something for you in a similar style, personalized to your vision.

  • Do artists send out artwork before the appointment?

It is not our policy to send artwork out prior to appointments to protect our artists’ intellectual property and ensure the best collaborative process. We believe that working together in person, directly on the body, allows us to make adjustments and bring the design to life in the most effective way. We greatly appreciate the trust you place in us!

  • Are children allowed in the studio?

For everyone’s safety and comfort, we do not allow minors in the studio, so please leave all children at home. This policy is in place for both your safety and theirs, as well as ensuring a calm and safe environment for everyone in our shop. Recognizing the innate curiosity and boundless energy of children, especially in new surroundings, we, as parents too, are aware of how swiftly they can affect the calm atmosphere we strive to uphold in our shop which is why we've set this guideline.

The only exception to this rule is when a minor has a scheduled piercing appointment, in which case they must be accompanied by their legal guardian. For all other situations, children, including infants, are not allowed in our studio.

  • What safety measures are in place at Divine Rites to protect clients during their tattoo or piercing?

Our tattoo artists and piercer are certified in First Aid, CPR, and Bloodborne Pathogens (BBP) to prioritize your safety in our studio.

At Divine Rites, all of our artists are trained in standard precautions to ensure the safety of both themselves and their clients.

  • How should I prepare for my tattoo appointment?

Ensuring you're well-prepared for your tattoo appointment is essential. Start by getting a good night's rest, and arrive to your appointment sober. We encourage you to eat a meal beforehand, and for extended sessions, bring snacks and water to maintain your blood sugar levels and hydration. You might want to bring a sweater or sweatshirt in case you get cold during your session. Dress comfortably, considering the area of your new tattoo. If you’re unsure of what is best to wear, give us a call.
